Agronomist
: Job Details :

gpac is currently assisting a well-established client in their search for an experienced Agronomist. This individual will be responsible for managing agronomic practices, monitoring field conditions, and working with farmers to maximize yields.

Agronomist Responsibilities:

• Working with farmers to determine when to plant and harvest
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop development, pest/weed/disease management, and overall crop performance
• Oversee and recommend the use of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides
• Implementing best agronomic practices to ensure optimal yields
• Promote sustainable farming practices
• Collect data on plant growth, environmental conditions, and yield outcomes for analysis and reporting

Agronomist Requirements:

• Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in agronomy or crop management
• Knowledge of crop production, soil science, pest/weed management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance to farmers
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
• Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
