AHMGs advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealths eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for WomenAHMG Hospitalists at Central FloridaAdvanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C),Nocturnist 6 pm - 6 amAdventHealth Winter ParkGeneral Summary:The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocolProvides assistance during procedures when requestedOrders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etcMonitors the patients course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as neededCollaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staffDisplays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growthKnowledge and Skills Required:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.Strong communication skillsAbility to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient settingPosition requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours of 6PM-6AMPosition is based at AdventHealth Winter ParkCandidate must be able to pass a third party background check and pre-employment drug screenRequired Education/Experience:Masters degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studiesPreferred Education/Experience:Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 yearsPrefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal MedicineLicensure, Certification, and Registration:Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) requiredCurrent, valid DEA licenseANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS requiredHospital DescriptionAdventHealth Winter Park, a part of AdventHealth Orlando, formerly Winter Park Memorial Hospital was chartered in 1951.
