Job Description:
NextGen EHR Practice Management Software Administrator We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NextGen EHR Practice Management Software Administrator to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our NextGen electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems in a medical clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NextGen software, a strong understanding of medical clinic workflows, and the ability to ensure that our EHR system supports efficient and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities System Administration: Manage and maintain the NextGen EHR and practice management systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally and securely Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability Implementation and Configuration: Lead the implementation and configuration of NextGen EHR software for new practices or modules. Customize system settings and templates to align with clinic workflows and specialties. Manage and monitor Background Business Processor operations. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to end-users, by interfacing with Nextgen Support Teams to address issues related to NextGen software promptly. Assist corporate trainers with training programs for clinic staff to ensure efficient use of the EHR system. Workflow Optimization: Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement within the NextGen system. Implement best practices and system enhancements to improve efficiency and patient care quality. Data Management and Reporting: Ensure accurate data entry and management within the NextGen system. Generate and analyze reports to support clinical and administrative decision-making. Manage and monitor critical data in File Maintenance such as Locations, Libraries, Practices, SIM Codes Integration and Interoperability: Work with IT and other departments to integrate NextGen EHR with other healthcare systems and technologies. Ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability between different systems and platforms. System Evaluation and Improvement: Regularly evaluate the performance of the NextGen system and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on the latest NextGen features, updates, and industry trends to continuously enhance system capabilities. Position Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing NextGen EHR and Practice Management systems in a medical clinic or similar healthcare setting. Proven experience in system implementation, configuration, and support. Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of NextGen EHR software and its application in medical clinic workflows. Strong technical skills, including database management, system configuration, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve system issues. Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA compliance. Certifications: NextGen Certified Professional (NCP) or similar certification preferred. RCX Rules Engine Experience a plus. Other Requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
