Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Air and Ocean Export Specialist to join our freight forwarding team in Valley Stream, NY 11581. The specialist will handle air and ocean export operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily air and ocean export operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and international regulations.
- Coordinate shipments, including booking, documentation, and tracking.
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Handle export customs clearance processes.
- Prepare and review export documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
- Address and resolve service issues and customer complaints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in air and ocean export operations.
- Strong knowledge of export regulations and customs procedures.
- Proficient in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mid-size freight forwarders.
- Knowledge of the German market and language skills.
