SPAs Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defence Force. Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients challenges.
The Naval Surface Warfare Group (NSWG), within SLA Division, focuses primarily on providing analytic and program support to the Surface Warfare component of the United States Navy, enabling enhanced decision-making regarding the allocation of resources to improve operational capabilities. This support includes personnel, manpower, and training support to OPNAV N1.
SPA has a need for an Air Defense Engineer (ADE), who will support NSWC Port Hueneme in T&E planning and execution. Work is expected to start in May 2025.
Responsibilities:Air Defense Engineers (ADEs) who interface and coordinate requirements with combat system technical SMEs, the ships force, and other Government personnel to ensure Air Defense (AD)/Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) requirements are addressed during test planning and execution of the test event. This includes providing technical expertise for the planning Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs), supporting the development of test plans, firing plans and scenario training plans as well as conducting scenario training in accordance with (IAW) NSWC PHD Shipboard Training for At-Sea Test Event Execution (STTE), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), assessing readiness and presenting at milestone reviews, and addressing system issues that occur during the test event. Personnel assigned to the ADE position shall obtain Training Qualification Standard (TQS) within one year of their assignment to the ADE position.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: $115,000-$140,000.
