Job Summary
Western Midstream is looking for an Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Representative to join the (WES) Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Team. This position will be based out of The Woodlands, TX.? The position will provide air quality compliance support for our operations in the Delaware Basin.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience.
* Knowledge and experience in the oil and gas midstream sector.
* Knowledge and experience with Texas, New Mexico, and federal air quality permitting and compliance requirements.
* Broad knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental, procedures and regulations as they apply to oil and natural gas operations.
* Ability to work with the Operations and Engineering teams in developing and implementing permitting and compliance programs.
* Be motivated with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
* Air Quality consulting experience preferred.
* Experience with BR&E ProMax simulation software preferred.
* Must communicate effectively with Operations and Engineering technical staff, legal counsel, and regulatory agency personnel.
* Proficient technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Partner with Operations teams to provide air quality compliance support.
* Develop compliance programs and conduct training.
* Assist in air permitting for new and existing facilities in Texas and New Mexico.
* Prepare and submit compliance reports for state and federal regulations.
* Develop and submit emission inventories for state and federal programs.
* Assist in the development and management of environmental data management systems.
* Ensure communication of HSSE expectations for projects and periodically assess against these expectations.
* Provide emission evaluations for Loss of Primary Containment events (LOPC).
* Assist with Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Start-up Reviews (PSSR).
* Assist and provide support with HSSE meetings.
* Participate in the WES's Incident Management Team for Emergency Response.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science or industry-related field. Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.
License / Certifications
A valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 10-20%.
Work Schedule
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
