Other benefits include 401K, paid government holidays, training, education assistance, wellness benefit, and paid personal leave.Primary ResponsibilitiesSome high-level duties include but are not limited to the following:Assisting with requirements verification and tracking for En Route, TRACON, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC) tools and systems.Assisting with identifying potential inconsistencies and usability issues as they relate to any ATC system changes.System/Subsystem specifications analysis to ensure air traffic operational analysis is addressed and assuring all technical requirements are completed correctly.Support in Spring Planning and requirements gathering, system testing and assist in program enhancements and bug fixes.Coordinate with the developers to ensure the correct implementation of requirements prior to code freeze.Presenting recommendations/solutions to the federal customers related to short and long-term program planning requirements.Demonstrate subject matter expertise in air traffic control procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology.Assisting in developing and conducting of user training.Classifying and summarizing data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis.Communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences in a manner that supports a wide range of analysis.Interfacing with user teams, system engineers, and other program personnel as necessary.Provide expert input to iCatalyst in supporting various areas of system development.Coordinating support for required technical interchange meeting support and various program teams with the FAA.Required SkillsDeep understanding of ATC procedures; well-versed in standard operating procedures, communication protocols, and regulations governing air traffic control.Familiarity with radar systems, flight tracking software, and other ATC technologies used to monitor airspace.Ability to analyze air traffic control related incidents to identify potential causes and recommended safety improvements.Air traffic control technical and operational work experience as a domestic or oceanic air traffic controller in an En Route & Oceanic or Terminal operational environment.Knowledge of Air Traffic Control, Navigation, Flight Information, and Automation Systems such as ERAM, TAMR, STARS, ASDE-X, ADS-B, ASOS, TFMS, TFDM, and TBFM.Experience/QualificationsKnowledge of IT concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends particularly relevant to the design of large-scale IT environments.EducationPosition requires BS/BA degree from an accredited university with 15 years of experience OR a MS/MA degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience.LocationMcLean, VA - HybridTravelOccasional Travel within US may be involved.OtherUS Citizenship or Permanent Residency, VISA sponsorship not available.#J-18808-Ljbffr
