My client is a high-profile leasing firm which has a requirement for a highly experienced SVP of Risk to join their Miami-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company's expanding risk management function as it continues to grow across multiple markets and regions. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing risk assessments, developing frameworks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across aviation markets, leasing transactions and geopolitical risks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and mitigate project-specific risks.Develop, implement, and enhance risk management policies, tools, and procedures.Monitor and assess the financial health and operational risks of airlines providing strategic insights for the business.Continuously improve risk management processes and provide necessary training and guidance to teams.Prepare and present risk reports and credit assessments to senior management and approval committees.Support transaction risk evaluations and propose strategies to mitigate risk exposure.Manage distressed lessee accounts and lead recovery efforts, ensuring favorable outcomes.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field.8+ years of experience in risk management, ideally within aviation finance or aircraft leasing.Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, industry standards, and compliance regulations.Experience monitoring airline performance and market trends.Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.Proven ability to collaborate across departments to achieve strategic goals.Professional certification in risk management (CFA, FRM) is a plus.Benefits:
