Talascend is currently seeking an Aircraft Painter for a contract opportunity located in Greenville, SC. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper.
- Smoothes surface with sandpaper and steel wool, roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to insure that paint adheres to surface, masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted, and paint insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface, using stencils.
- Will be working RAM coating, and various other paint shop tasks!
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have Aircraft Paint experience, will accept Automotive/aircraft paint experience.
- Must be willing to work Plastic Media Blasting.
- Painting, paint prep activities, and all aspects of aircraft painting.
- Must be able to wear a respirator.
- Skills: Aircraft Media Blast experience on Low Observable or high gloss paint systems Paint Shop read and interpret paint drawings for aircraft stencils Use proper painting techniques, mixing ratios, correct paint viscosity, identification of improper and/or unacceptable finish application High Gloss Finish Painting Paint Process Techniques
- Must be able to work 4x10D- Thursday-Sunday.
- Candidate MUST be available to start 1/13/2024.
