Akkodis is currently hiring an Aircraft Sewing Technician for a Direct Hire position with client located at Gainesville, TX (Onsite).
Ideally looking for applicants who have a solid background in industrial sewing or sewing in a manufacturing setting.
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in cutting and sewing dress covers for aircraft seats for all non-production components. Will also cut and sew fabric, leather, e-leather/vinyl of various weight and different lamination thickness within specified tolerances for cut and sew process. 1. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Main Function Responsibilities
A) Sets up and cuts patterns to close tolerances.
B) Sews fabric, leather, e-leather/vinyl of various weights and lamination thicknesses, operating lock stitch and serger machines.
C) Sets up and adjusts lock stitch and serger machines.
D) Maintains a high quality of workmanship and assumes responsibility for work performed in assigned duties.
E) Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Experience with Serger machine/industrial sewing machines
Very basic computer skills
Ability to read blueprints/patterns
