Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob posted until Monday, December 23rd at 9:00am.GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to oversee and maintain the daily operations of the Oconee Airfield. As supervisor, coordinate the activities of all airport employees and administer performance measures. This position coordinates work schedules and instructs or trains through demonstration. This position will evaluate and maintain the safety of buildings, grounds, and fuel stations. Performs security and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and provides customer service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include line scheduling, procurement, inventory management, employee hiring, evaluations, and training. The role oversees quality control maintenance and management, A/C ramp and extended apron management, record keeping, project management, federal grants, forms, SPCC, vegetative requirements, FAA coordination and regulation compliance, military operations, A/C fueling and handling, equipment and airfield maintenance and repair solutions. Additionally, it involves responding to after-hours requests and coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed, as well as acting as liaison for the Director during airport projects.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job duties satisfactorily. Since every duty associated with this position may not be described herein, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically spelled out but may be considered incidental in the performance of this job. •Provides customer service to both internal and external customers.•Maintains the upkeep of buildings and grounds.•Handles aircraft marshaling, handling, refueling, and addresses the general needs of crew members, including problem-solving, as needed.•Hires, evaluates, trains, supervises, and schedules airport attendants, managing general HR resources and employee/customer relations.•Maintains fuel inventories and QC reports.•Maintains all airfield inspection records.•Prepares employee work schedules.•Assists with planning and budget.•Acts as liaison for Director during Airport projects as needed.•Maintains inventories for resale, daily use items, supplies, facilities, services, and equipment.•Assists Director with planning and executing events.•Interviews and hires employees.•Monitors airfield construction activity when necessary.•Monitors Airport fuel inventory and prepares reports submitted to Director.•Responds to after-hour requests for fuel or customer service at the FBO.•Maintains fuel quality control records, ensures certification currency, supervises training, oversees repairs, upkeep, and general fueling systems maintenance and regulatory compliance.•Manages equipment and airfield/hangar maintenance and repair, ensuring regulatory compliance.•Oversees customer relations, procurement, inventory, and daily operations management.•Ensures FAA compliance and coordination, manages SPCC, and oversees vegetative management.•Coordinates daily operations and project management involving airport engineering firms, FAA, South Carolina Aeronautics Commission, and construction firms.•Updates and manages policies and procedures, including employee training, security protocols, and airfield operations.•Serves as the primary after-hours and holiday contact for the needs of pilots, passengers, and customers, managing after-hours responses and emergency contacts involving airport operations and emergencies.•Performs other related duties as assigned.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Basic Computer skills in spreadsheets and Excel programs.Knowledge of county policies and procedures.Trained in Quality Control Procedures thru TitonAviation Fuels.Customer Service Skills.Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.Skilled at radio communications with pilots.Knowledge of Airport Operations.Knowledge of Aircraft operating limitations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aviation Management, Business or similar field with two or more (2+) years aviation experience, plus two or more (2+) years management experience; education can be substituted for experience.LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS: Required: Valid driver's license. QC training every 2 years. Certification from Airfield Competence and Education (A.C.E.) for General Aviation Airports. Preferred: CDL license.
