Overview:

The Emerging Leaders Program – Administrative Leadership Academy (ALA) offers an immersive, hands-on experience emphasizing various paths to leadership. The Administrative Leader Associate works on key assignments to develop fundamental and leadership skills during their first year at Mercy with the goal of accelerating advancement into a leadership role in the future.

Participants in this program will:

  • Experience a holistic view of the Mercy ministry through structured experiential learning across Performance Divisions, Care Settings (Hospital, Clinic,Retail), as well as Mercy's Performance Accelerators.
  • Develop essential skills as you work alongside senior leaders enhanced with in-person and virtual learning.
  • Receive one-on-one mentoring and coaching from senior management.
  • Uncover leadership potential by building on God given leadership talents, explore the healing ministry of Mercy through integrated formation and personal development plans.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduating with a Master's degree with a preferred emphasis in either Healthcare, Finance, Data Analytics & Technology Services or Consumer Experience & Marketing
  • Graduating in December 2024 or May 2025

Required:

  • 3.2 cumulative grade point average
  • Academic/Professional Letter of Recommendations
  • Personal Statement
  • Program Prompt Essay

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Eager to develop as a leader by broadening professional experiences and skills.
  • Flexible and willing to take on challenging projects ranging from a full spectrum of operational and administrative areas.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Initiative and passion to work independently.
  • Flexibility, strong decision-making skills, and effective time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work with attention to detail while meeting time constraints.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and to collaborate in group settings.
  • Exhibits a willingness to take on leadership and non-leadership roles and responsibilities.

Spring Interviews will start Feburary 2025

This program begins in July, 2025. We anticipate all selections to be complete by end of May 1st 2025.
