Description:Professional Medical Practice, P.C., is looking for an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-T, CASAC, CASAC2) to work in the medical department at the Broome County Correctional Facility located in Binghamton, NYThis is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm).Hourly Rate: $22.00- 26.00Job Responsibilities:Responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordination, and implementation of the behavioral health program in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Serve as the liaison between medical and facility staff as it pertains to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).Engage patient in therapeutic interventions with the goal of addressing substance use related concerns.Facilitate group and individual sessions with patients in the MAT program.Actively assist with the detection and prevention of patient suicide.Document all patient encounters in a timely manner utilizing the SOAPE note format.Assist and/or collaborate with facility staff regarding discharge planning for patients in the MAT program, where applicable.Facilitate/participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines.Participate as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and any sub-committees. Assist in the establishment of Quality Assurance standards and audit criteria.Serve as a member of various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary.Benefits:Professional Care believes in offering a competitive compensation and benefits package to all their employees!
