POSITION: Behavioral Therapist Positions - 32.5 hours/week
LOCATION: District
START DATE: Immediately
Responsibilities:
The ABA Therapist will report to a designated special education teacher and will:
* implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher
* work with other specialists and parents to implement additional specified goals and objectives
* implement programs developed by teacher and consultant
* teach daily living, social skills, receptive and expressive language skills
* maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
* plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
* meet regularly with ABA consultant, special education teacher, support team
* attend staff meetings
* video tape work sessions as appropriate
* provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
* maintain student safety including the application of crisis prevention interventions and physical management techniques, including protective holds, when necessary and appropriate
* implement behavior intervention plans designed to reinforce appropriate behaviors and eliminate inappropriate behaviors including disruptive behaviors such as aggression or bolting
Qualifications:
* Two to three years' experience providing ABA instruction
* demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
* possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
* must be highly motivated and self-directed
Remuneration: $30.75 / Hour
