Job Description:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7.25 hours per day; 185 days per academic year with additional summer hours.
Available: Immediate opening.
Responsibilities:
The Non-Certified Behavior Technician will report to a designated special education teacher and behavioral analyst and will:
* Accompany assigned student throughout the school day to provide behavioral and academic support
* Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher and behavior analyst
* Attend related service sessions with student (ex. speech, OT, PT) and reinforce work in these goal areas
* Work with other specialists and parents to implement additional specified goals and objectives
* Implement programs developed by teacher and consultant
* Maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
* Plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
* Meet regularly with behavior analyst, special education teacher, support team
* Attend staff meetings
* Provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience required
* Demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
* Must be highly motivated and self-directed
Salary & Benefits: $22.00/hour starting salary range; consideration will be given to prior experience; comprehensive benefits.
