Qualifications:

* Reading Specialist Certification (102) Preferred
Experience:
* Working with children
* Working with children in an educational setting (Preferred)
* Experience providing small group scientifically research-based instruction to students requiring Tier 2 instruction (Preferred)
* Collaborating with adults successfully
* Collaborating with adults in an educational setting (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Race Brook Reading Team: Principal, Reading Specialist, Reading Aide colleagues and classroom teachers to:
* plan classroom programming for students receiving Tier 1 & Tier 2 services
* monitor progress of students receiving Tier 1 & Tier 2 services
* create targeted learning goals based on data with grade-level teams
* support teachers and students with computer-based reading programs and assessments (Lexia, STAR)
* Support small group classroom reading instruction
Start Date: Immediately. Position follows the school calendar.
Salary: $19.18 per hour for 5.5 hours/day, paid bi-weekly. This is a non-union position/no benefits.
