- Prepares daily instruction and activities using the division's curriculum and/or assigned study materials to provide for the individual needs, abilities, and interests of the students;
- Autonomously assists small groups of children in various subject areas;

- Evaluate students' learning and uses results for further student instruction;
- Develops and maintains a favorable psychological and physical environment that is conducive to effective learning;
- Maintains order and encourages students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior within the classroom setting in accordance with division guidelines regarding pupil behavior management.
- Selects and utilizes materials appropriate to the students' instructional levels;

Qualifications: KSA's, EducationKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:General knowledge of modern practices, techniques, and methods for teaching children including students with special education needs; the principles of educational testing and principles and methods of remedial education; the principles and methods of educational research. Ability to apply modern methods and principles of education to students functioning at multiple levels of mastery; maintain proper discipline as aligned with division guidelines regarding pupil behavior management; establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students. - Paid Holidays - 10- month and 11-month personnel follow the School Calendar. 12-month full-time classified employees receive 13 holidays per year (9 designated days and 4 floating days).
- Vacation - 12-month employees earn 1 day of leave per month for their first four years of service, 1.25 days for 5 - 9 years of service, and 1.5 days for 10 or more years of service.
- Sick Leave - Full-time employees earn one sick leave day per month (10 - 12 depending on length of contract) with unlimited accrual. Part-time employees will earn sick leave on a prorated basis.
