Position Overview: As an Aluminum Frame Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of aluminum framing systems in commercial buildings. Your role will involve working with various materials to ensure the structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of aluminum frames for windows, doors, partitions, and other installations. Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut aluminum framing components to specified dimensions using precision tools.
- Install aluminum frames and structural supports, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Fabricate and assemble framing systems for glass installation as required.
- Replace damaged or broken framing components in windows, doors, and storefronts.
- Seal joints and edges with appropriate sealants to prevent leaks and enhance insulation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and utilize protective equipment to minimize risks associated with handling materials.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with existing aluminum frame installations, including adjusting or replacing hardware.
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition through regular inspections and repairs.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours logged.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an aluminum frame technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing aluminum framing systems.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, and levels.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to framing installation and safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to meet project specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and wear protective gear.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification or training in aluminum framing and installation techniques is a plus.
