Title: Alumnae Relations AssociateReports to: Senior Director of Alumnae RelationsJob Purpose: The Alumnae Relations Associate works in partnership with the Senior Director of Alumnae Relations to maintain and strengthen the relationship between The Agnes Irwin School and its alumnae. The Alumnae Relations Associate will assist in implementing programs that engage alumnae and enhance alumnae's financial support of the School. Primary responsibilities will focus on and lead efforts on young alumnae (20 years post-graduation) outreach, communication designed to engage young alumnae, and alumnae research.The Alumnae Relations Associate will develop and facilitate an effective marketing and communication plan to keep alumnae informed and connected. They will work closely with the Senior Director of Alumnae Relations on the programming, planning, and execution of alumnae events for the school.Essential Functions:
- Maintain and grow alumnae relationships with the school to increase engagement, financial support, and advocacy for the school.
- Manage communication strategies with alumnae, including but not limited to letters, invitations, newsletters, and social media
- Maintain alumnae records and class notes in coordination with the Development Database Manager and the School's Marketing and Communications department utilizing individual submissions, social media platforms, and word-of-mouth.
- In partnership with the Senior Director of Alumnae Relations, develop reunion weekend programming, events, and activities. Lead reunion efforts for the 5th through 20th reunion classes.
- Partner with the Annual Giving staff on reunion giving and Young Alumnae Leadership Society fundraising efforts.
- Lead planning for 75-125+ person events, such as Hall of Fame Induction. Coordinate planning with other school departments and outside vendors.
- Provide support for all alumnae engagement events (manage invitations, mailing lists, attendee lists, nametags, and profiles)
- Support special interest programming for alumnae
- Support opportunities for student-alumnae engagement both in person at school, virtually over Zoom, or off campus.
- And other responsibilities as they arise to support the Alumnae Relations Office and the Development team as a whole
Education/Skills:
- Project management experience preferred
- General understanding of fundraising
- 2 years of alumnae relations or related experience preferred
- Bachelor of Arts or comparable degree
- Ability to function independently and in collaboration with colleagues, alumnae, Trustees, volunteers, and donors
- Strong writing and communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Some evening and weekend work is required
- Some travel is required
