Job DetailsJob LocationNew Rochelle - New Rochelle, NYPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeSalary Range$62,400.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/yearDescriptionJob SummaryThe Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for managing regional alumni events and coordinating affinity groups, with an emphasis on impacting annual giving, encouraging volunteer engagement, and fostering a strong alumni network. The role will include coordinating regional alumni gatherings in the tri-state area and beyond while recruiting and supporting alumni volunteers to assist. The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will partner with the Assistant Director of Alumni Events & Affinity Programs to ensure an impactful and successful Day of Giving, Alumni Homecoming/Reunion Weekend, and other flagship campus events. In addition, the Coordinator will work with the Student Contact Center to maximize alumni giving and engagement.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit and organize alumni volunteers interested in serving as regional and corporate representatives and affinity group leads and organize regional events and other gatherings for alumni. Track giving and other key metrics advanced at each event. (40%)
- Assist in Campus Flagship Events (20%)
- Assist in management of the Student Contact Center (30%)
- Other duties as assigned, including: administrative assistance by answering phone calls from alumni, liaising with faculty/staff members, and coordinating travel arrangements as needed; supporting team events and functions within and outside of Advancement; assisting staff with proofreading email communications, print publications, and solicitation lists while ensuring data accuracy through regular data cleaning (solicitation lists, email lists, etc.) (10%)
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and a good understanding of database applications.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented team player with a professional demeanor.
- Capable of working independently and solving problems effectively.
