The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Aging Services is seeking candidates for the position of Alzheimer's Disease Program Grant Coordinator. This position will be located nearest the office of the selected candidate and is a time-limited position that is funded through August 31st, 2027.Pay Grade: KUnder the supervision of the Dementia Team Lead, this position will function as the grant coordinator for Alzheimer's Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) State Grant-AdvancingCognitionAndBrain-healthSupports (A-CABS). The Grant Coordinator will provide state-level direction and oversight for A-CABS and support the day-to-day responsibilities of the project for all key tasks including monitoring the project's ongoing progress, preparing reports, and communicating with partners and the Administration for Community Living.The goal of Georgia's A-CABS project is to achieve a dementia-capable Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) system that meets the unique needs of people living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementia and their care partners. A-CABS objectives include:Creating, expanding, and sustaining a dementia-capable HCBS that includes no wrong door access for people diagnosed with early-stage dementia and their family caregivers;Ensuring that Georgia's HCBS systems provide innovative and evidence-based services to people with early-stage dementia and their families.Roles and Responsibilities:Coordinate contracts, project deliverables, contract monitoring, budget expenditures, and partner meeting facilitation.Finalize and monitor workplan activities for each partner.Develop and finalize recruitment strategies and marketing materials for all populations and participants; support marketing initiative to build awareness of the program.Collect, analyze, and report project data, including project results and evaluation.Provide technical assistance, training, quality assurance, monitoring and oversight to A-CABS partners, including regular improvement feedback regarding program activities and budget.Complete and submit grant reports.Develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and project partners.Engage in required statewide travel and attend all required meetings/trainings related to A-CABS.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Core Competencies:Provides services and information to and honors all the State's commitments to internal and external customers by providing helpful, courteous, accessible, responsive, and knowledgeable service.Cooperates with others to accomplish common goals and works as a team player within and across departments to achieve shared goals.Treats others with dignity and respect, maintains a friendly demeanor and values the contributions of others.Delivers consistently required business results and meets achievable yet aggressive goals.Complies with quality standards and meets deadlines.Maintains focus on agency and State goals.Displays honesty, accountability, and a strong commitment to his or her public duty and presents oneself as a credible representative of the agency and State to maintain the public trust.Demonstrates ability to make sound judgments and develops effective, viable solutions to drive the effectiveness of the Department and State.Has excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while effectively and accurately managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Ability to work independently with limited direction.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND four (4) years of professional job-related experience which includes one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role;ORTwo (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Services Program Consultant 2 (SSP041) or position equivalent.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two years' experience in working with aging and/or disability populations.Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND one year's experience in working with aging/disability populations.Experience in the statewide aging services network either at the state, Area Agency on Aging, or service provider level.Demonstrated experience in grant management.Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.Demonstrated experience providing training, consultation, and technical assistance.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.For more detailed information about the Georgia Department Human Services, visit: Information:Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board (SPB) Rules regarding salary.DHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
