As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing support of the **Ambulatory eRecord (EpicCare) system** .

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Assist in providing **go-live support** for the implementation of EpicCare at our physician practices.

+ Lead and mentor a team, supporting daily assignments and resolving technical challenges.

+ Provide **analytical and programming services** to ensure systems meet business needs.

+ Develop, maintain, and optimize applications/systems for our practices.

+ Travel to various physician offices to provide hands-on support and training.

**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional early or late hours that will require flexibility.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provides on-site go live support on a pre-scheduled basis for new practices going live on EpicCare.

+ Works with ISD staff, clients and/or vendor staff to deploy production applications.

+ Maintains a positive attitude characterized by caring and support for patients, visitors, medical staff, peers, and coworkers.

+ Ensures that security and confidentiality policies are upheld and enforced.

+ Ensures appropriate knowledge and use of EpicCare tools.

+ Answer questions or troubleshoot basic problems during go live.

+ Identify issues that need to be escalated through the appropriate process in a timely manner.

+ Understands the importance of quality and regulatory initiatives at UPMC and educates the practice staff and providers on the importance of meeting measures as they relate to the eRecord.

+ Develop and maintain an understanding of the practice's EpicCare workflows.

+ Provides ongoing EpicCare support (on-site or remotely) to users, as requested.

+ Maintain a solid working knowledge of the proficiency of each user in the clinic as they use EpicCare.

+ Works with ISD staff, clients and/or vendors to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions including both packaged system solutions and custom development applications options.

+ Assures quality of information through business case and application-level testing; validates test results to initial business needs.

+ Excels in carrying out all responsibilities of an Ambulatory eRecord System Coordinator (listed above).

+ Acts as a mentor to new eRecord System Coordinators as they are onboarding.

+ Assists EHR Operations Director and Project Manager with day-to-day support requests and eRecord System Coordinator assignments

+ Is the first line of support when EpicCare related questions or concerns arise.

+ Takes lead on group task assignments that come from EHR Operations Director or Lead Analyst/Project Manager and is responsible for ensuring tasks stay on track.

+ High school diploma or GED required

+ Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Ambulatory eRecord System Coordinator role required

+ Bachelors degree OR 4-6 years practical experience in IT or clinical ambulatory care preferred.

+ Must have access to a car and will be responsible for travel to implementation sites.

+ Must be able to interact tactfully and professionally with team members, patients, clinic/physician/project staff and management.

+ Has mastered the essential knowledge base for an IT professional.

+ Has mastered the essential IT principles and analytical rules that guide their application in practical situations.

+ Able to perform basic/standard IT procedures and protocols.

+ Relies on buddy system/coach to demonstrate applied skills and to guide non-routine actions

+ Strong computer and typing skills

+ Good verbal, and written communication skills.

+ Detail oriented and possess a high degree of concentration to assure accurate documentation into the eRecord.Able to perform job responsibilities and make decisions in a fast pace work environment.

+ Knowledge of medical record format and content of patient records. Ability to review medical records, read physician documentation and verify patient identification. Competent knowledge and understanding of anatomy/physiology, medical terminology, medical abbreviations, and prescription drugs.

+ Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. some evening and weekend hours may be necessary periodically).
