**Job Description:**

Under the direction of the assigned Site Supervisor or Manager perform activities to ensure timely and accurate posting and abstracting of patient charges and data entry functions related to front-end failures that hinder our ability to secure reimbursement.

**Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:**

High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred in Business or health related field. Two years of charge posting and abstracting experience preferably in a hospital outpatient environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass data entry & clerical skills testing. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Knowledge of ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages accurately. Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Working knowledge of department specific patient accounting systems.

**Salary Range:**

$20.17-$30.08 per hour *Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.*
