ABOUT DLN3-AMHM OPERATIONS AMHM works out of 1455 Cellular Dr. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The routes out of this station are 10-hour blocks of 200 stops on each route. We deliver using Cargo, Step Van, and Rivian Electric Vehicles. The start time for these routes will currently be at 9:30am. These details and times are subject to change. ABOUT VIL2-AMHM OPERATIONS AMHM will be launching operations at VIL2, the Skokie Sub Same Day delivery station on 7555 Linder Ave. Skokie, IL. The routes out of this station will be 4-hour blocks of 30-40 packages on each route, known as Amazon Flex routes. We will be driving smaller vehicles (Kia Souls). The start time for these routes will currently be at 1) 3:15am, 2) 8:45am, 3) 2:15pm (will be added later in the year) These details and times are subject to change. ABOUT THE ROLE As a dispatcher, you will have the opportunity to lead an outbound operation, on a specified shift or across multiple shifts between two stations, DLN3 and VIL2. You will be responsible engaging a team of talent that makes our operation possible; one of your main focuses will be supporting and training our team to deliver quality service to our customers. To achieve this, Dispatchers are creative problem solvers who can make quick decisions on time sensitive inquiries from drivers, Amazon contacts, and company management. Some of the positions key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Opening (including but not limited to route coverage, device set up, pouch prep, fleet availability, timecard management, etc.) - Successful Load Out Completion - Complete white glove or customer escalation deliveries - Be able and ready to take a route in case of route coverage risk - On Road Driver Support with package inquiries, vehicle issues, injuries, emergencies, etc. - Vehicle Support and Maintenance - Tracking safety events for drivers - Communicating drivers' performance with management - Completing essential reports required by management - Close Out At times, you will be required to engage in physical activities with or without reasonable accommodation. These activities include the following: Lifting and moving material up to 50 pounds Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head Frequent walking in the building and around area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length Standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours a day Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation. Anything it takes to get the job done. - Take ownership of work and tasks assigned. - 100% Reliability, no call offs, no no-shows, no excuses. - Flexibility to work different shifts, if required. - Tech Savvy: Most of your work will be done on a computer or cellular device, you must be able to proficiently use a technology including, but not limited to, Amazon's delivery portal, MS Excel, Other company operations and reporting tools. - Public Speaking - Have an eye for efficiency. - Pride yourself on leading a team. - Clean Driving Record. - Ability to pass a drug test and additional random samples. - Be DOT Qualified, complete at-least one route in a Step Van; and maintain qualified status with company DOT vendors.
