Inc. is seeking an Anti-Money Laundering ( AML ) Testing and Model Validation Analyst to join its AML Compliance Department. The successful candidate will join an AML Compliance Quality Assurance ( AML QA ) team that tests across the firm's AML Compliance Program's systems and technical processes. Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the following initiatives:
- Analyzing various AML models and filtering programs through extensive reviews targeting model development, functionality and change management.
- Assessing model conceptual soundness including limitations and assumptions, end-to-end data integrity, model implementation accuracy and performance.
- Writing validation reports clearly explaining the theory and logic behind design decisions, analyses performed, implications of results and recommended enhancements.
- Participating in other data or tech-related activities including creating ad-hoc data reports, interactions with IT developers and regulatory examiners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or other related field)
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: MS SQL queries, R, Python, etc.
- Experience with validating AML systems, or similar technical models, preferred.
- Experience in, or desire to learn, AML or regulatory risk management compliance.
- Foundational understanding of ETL & data warehouse principles, preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and (especially) written.
CompensationFor job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
