Piper Companies is currently seeking a few different Ammonia Facilities Technicians for a company that is an innovative start-up revolutionizing the food industry by leveraging cutting-edge biotechnology through the development and commercialization of cultivated meat products. Being the first of its kind in the entire world to launch! The Ammonia Facilities Technician will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of maintenance of various facility-related systems and brand-new equipment. This is a fully onsite position in the greater Raleigh area, that will be on 4 days on, 3 days off schedule. With needs for people looking for either day or night shifts.Responsibilities of the Ammonia Facilities Technician:Assist with operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems, checking for compliance within safety standards as related to the PSM programPerform inspections and maintenance regularly to uphold system integrity and to be proactive in avoiding leaksHelp with the operation and minor maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systemsAssist with general building maintenance as needed for electrical, plumbing or structural components.Conduct regular safety audits wearing PPE and following best practices and procedures.Qualifications of the Ammonia Facilities Technician:3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in the biotech or food manufacturing environementExpertise in ammonia refrigeration (NH3) systems, HVAC systems, and general building maintenanceAbility to understand P&ID'sBasic PLC troubleshooting experienceOSHA 10 knowledgeAwareness of GMP for the food industryAbility to work flexible hours and shifts up to 12 hoursCARO or CIRO or CRST (preferred but not required)Certified in ammonia refrigeration operator 1, RETA 1Certified in ammonia refrigeration operator 2, RETA 2 preferred Compensation for the Ammonia Facilities Technician:Salary Range: $33-$45/hr, depending on the location and years of experienceComprehensive Benefits: Generous benefits package with competitive PTO offering, and relocation assistanceKeywords: Ammonia, RETA 1, RETA 2, certified ammonia refrigeration operator, PLC, OSHA, GMP, electrical experience, basic maintenance, HVAC, NH3, HAZMAT, PPE, Facilities, Technician, Refrigeration#pando #LI-DNP
