Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Financial Analysis, the Analyst II - Continuous Improvement will partner with departments to help drive the high-level continuous improvement efforts across the resort. Primary duties include, but not limited to, providing actionable recommendations leading to an improvement in revenue and/or expenses, profit, guest service, employee productivity, or operational efficiency. The Analyst II - Continuous Improvement will analyze/monitor trends, eliminate waste in the holistic process, identify and remedy root causes. The successful incumbent will have an inquisitive nature to want to learn and figure out the why , be an independent self-starter, partner with departmental/operational leaders to immerse themselves into the operation, lead recurring continuous improvement meetings, provide actionable recommendations based on physical observations and analysis, be able to present actionable data in a clear and concise manner. Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university is required. An analytical and/or business oriented major (Accounting, Business, Finance, Economic, Data Science, or Continuous Improvement) is preferred. An advanced degree is desirable. Work experience of two (2) + years in a high paced environment that involved quantitative analysis and/or process improvement is also required. Experienced throughout the full analytical lifecycle of sourcing data, cleansing data, prepping data for analysis, conducting analysis, developing dashboards, developing queries and presenting actionable recommendations. Work experience utilizing Excel, analytical software (SAS, SPSS, Python, R, Stata or Alteryx, SAS preferred), data visualization software (SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, etc., SAS Visual Analytics Preferred). Previous experience in a casino or casino/hotel related industry is ideal. Previous experience utilizing Six Sigma, Kaizen, or DMAIC is preferred. Must be proficient in a PC environment, including the use of MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. Good presentation and communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to work independently as well as in conjunction with other areas of Finance and Operations. Position is an onsite role. Other duties as assigned.
