To learn more, visit www.rockpoint.com. Position Overview This role will primarily provide technical support to internal staff across our corporate and remote office locations and staff. Other duties of the role will include being the main point of contact for new employee training, processing technology asset inventory, and mobile device management for the firm. The ideal candidate would have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. In addition to technical and desktop support responsibilities, the candidate would help implement forward thinking ideas to improve tech support services, systems and oversee special projects across areas of the technology stack. This position reports directly to the VP of Technology. Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the tech support data within the tracking system
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for end-user computing issues
  • Help to administer, assign, and respond to tech support issues as part of the tech support team
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the tech support data within Rockpoint's tracking system
  • Image, configure and install desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for new hires and replacement computers
  • Responsible for technology inventory management and secure disposition/shredding of sensitive storage devices
  • Manage user access permissions and licenses in cloud applications like Microsoft 365, Zoom, Adobe, and others
  • Provide formal tech training for all newly onboarded users including equipment and application overview, access control and policy enforcement
  • Manage changes and oversee all company mobile, tablet, and laptop cellular lines through the corporate mobile program through Verizon & AT&T business including monitoring for overages, discrepancies, and suspicious usage
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support on a rotational basis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field of study with proven academic performance
  • 2 years demonstrated experience working within a corporate technology support team
  • 2 years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software components on computers and peripherals
  • Skills in responding to issues within a Microsoft 365-based infrastructure
  • Exposure to automation technologies in PowerShell, Python, or similar preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with an ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellence in troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced computer, connectivity, and network problems in a complex multi-platform environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Willingness to learn and continuously pursue new skills and education
  • Ability to plan and implement new ideas around the technology support function
  • Ability to work within a team and provide proactive feedback for improving processes across the technology functions
