Job Description As a Analyst - Pricing Global Accounts you will be responsible to set optimal price levels for new and existing customers and work with a cross functional team to secure profitable global accounts business, maintain pricing integrity and improve margin opportunities. You will use advanced excel and analytic skills to prepare routine to complex pricing proposals for assigned global accounts customers. Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes contract pricing strategy for multi-million dollar, long-term, global account customers.
- Analyzes large and complex data sets, determines piece price levels, and creates clear and concise pricing deliverables for internal and external customers.
- Reviews and provides billing margin improvement opportunities through evaluation of product cost, payment terms, value adds, customer and industry trends and various other factors.
- Participates in strategy and execution of contracts, renewals, and new opportunities.
- Identifies customer risks and opportunities and deliver recommendations to commercial team for improvement.
- Evaluates, analyzes, and organizes customer data in order to provide optimal matches to WESCO's products line card.
- Monitors price expiration and recommends improvements based on analysis.
- Develops reports for assigned global accounts to review overall performance, low margin business, declining margins and pricing trends. Generates other ad hoc pricing or margin reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree required, MBA preferred.
- 1 year required, 3 years preferred of pricing or financial analyst responsibility.
- 1 year required, 3 years preferred of data file comparison and analysis experience.
- 1 year required, 2 years preferred of electrical distribution experience.
- 1 year of data analyst experience in wholesale or retail distribution is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of pricing structures and techniques.
- Ability to generate accurate and timely analysis using advanced proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Access or SQL.
- Ability to develop strong and logical pricing recommendations.
