Overview
We're seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team! In this role, you'll provide revenue cycle consulting assistance to hospital administrative and managerial staff. This position will be responsible for helping to improve revenue cycle performance throughout. You'll identify opportunities for revenue cycle performance improvement based on regulatory, payor, physician, departmental and/or service line analysis.
Location: Remote/work from home with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Financial Analysis
* Develop and maintain Revenue Cycle/Financial Analysis and communicate to Affiliates
* Develop and maintain statistical data for monthly and/or daily reports (denial reports, late charge reports, etc.)
* Execute complicated analyses and make the results accessible and relevant to a wide variety of business users.
* Provide reports and analysis to aide management and executives in making organizational decisions that have significant bottom-line impacts
* Understands and efficiently explains the full scope of the analysis including variables, calculations, limitations, etc.
Quality Control
* Assist the manager in developing and maintaining standards to measure the effectiveness of all aspects of the revenue cycle
* Assist affiliates with developing and following Best Practices throughout the Revenue Cycle
* Follows up and resolves issues and requests regarding data requirements from vendors and other third parties as needed.
* Shares feedback and recommendations regarding report findings with team members
* Provides feedback and recommendations to the affiliates regarding issues found during analysis of processes
* Maintain a professional relationship with the general public, affiliate executives and staff, and physicians on all matter which relate to UnityPoint
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
Education
* Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics required.
Experience
* At least 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics in a health insurance, healthcare operations, actuarial, finance, statistical or underwriting setting.
* Epic experience highly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Strong Excel experience
* Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
* Ability to synthesize complex data into user friendly visual presentations.
* Requires highly developed negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with broad customer base.
* Requires highly developed communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout the UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
* Working knowledge and experience with developing reports utilizing tools such as Excel and Access.
