Under the direction of the Manager, Talent Data Analytics, the Analyst, Talent Data Analytics will support the data analytics program for the Recruiting, University Relations and Leadership Development departments. This role will involve seeking and collecting relevant data, as well as documenting the information to be processed. Some job duties include gathering and cleaning of talent data, building reports and tables from that data, and updating dashboards for the Recruiting department to drive business goals. The Analyst, Talent Data Analytics will also execute defined recruiting strategies and educate recruiters on how to effectively leverage data. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data needs.
  • Design and develop Power BI data models and solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Optimize performance and usability of Power BI solutions through data modeling and query optimization.
  • Development of DAX measures and calculated columns to support business needs.
  • Implement data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Power BI and recommend best practices for adoption.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, data lineage, and data dictionaries for Power BI solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to empower business users with self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Utilize operational analysis, trending, benchmarking, and research to support leadership and managers in the effective reporting on talent activity across the organization.
  • Assists with various aspects of the talent data management process including data input.
  • Prepares talent department reporting through profiling, cleaning, and transforming data to be used for reporting.
  • Ensures the integrity of talent data through correcting wrong or inaccurate data, identifying missing data, and converting data from one type to another.
  • Maintains and merges multiple Excel data files without error or data corruption.
  • Gathers and manipulates data in Excel, and provides updates to leadership as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field. In lieu of degree 5+ years of experience in related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in related field, including 3+ years of related work experience with knowledge of data analytics principles and best practices
  • Ability to create DAX formulas and calculations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI or other BI tool
Preferred
  • Bachelor's or associates degree in related field
  • Proficiency in database queries (SQL)
  • Knowledge of advanced excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP/ZLOOKUP
