The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. What you will be doing:
  • Coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.
  • Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to external carriers
  • Update the Transportation Management System with current shipment information
  • Provide visibility to management and our internal customers by tracking, auditing, researching, and troubleshooting operational issues or functions
  • Complete daily logs, trackers, and internal systems with detailed information
  • Escalate rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis to the Logistics Engineering team
  • Identify cost savings opportunities for the Logistics Engineering team
  • Escalate damage notifications from DC to Logistics Claims team and Carrier
  • Coordinate on-time performance (pickup and delivery) with carriers by tracking loads in TMS
  • Knowledge of systems and tools required to perform the job and ability to help the team when needed (Training will be provided)
  • Escalate to the shift's specialist or supervisor when a risk or scenario is impacting our network performance
  • Display of team-player attitude
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by the shift's specialist or supervisor
What you will bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain management
  • Expert level proficiency in oral and written English, Spanish language skills preferred but not required
  • High energy, positive attitude, customer service and continuous improvement mind-set, and team spirit
  • Two (2) plus years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred
  • Advanced desktop computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. SAP program experience preferred
