This position is a fantastic stepping-stone for those with some basic experience looking to expand their career in the interesting world of the pharmaceutical industry. The Chemist I is responsible for utilizing established methods and standard lab equipment/instrumentation (HPLC, IC) to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze routine pharmaceutical substances and formulations. Work Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:30pm Restrictions: Because of vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees. Essential Functions Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing all assigned duties Follow written and oral instruction Prepare reagents and solutions required for testing Perform laboratory testing and record results in compliance with cGMP's (if applicable) and internal QMS Work and think independently, yet share ideas and work towards team goals Use a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheets, email and database applications Express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written Work to establish the ability to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities Adherence to all ARL safety standards, protocols, policies and procedures Position Requirements... An associate degree in chemistry or related science with 2+ years industrial experience OR... Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science with 1-2 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. The role requires standing for prolonged periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; ability to walk and stoop; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
