YOUR ROLE- Analytical chemist to support GPC/polymer separation and thermal analysis labs in North America ASG team located at Bridgewater, NJ and work in chemical analysis lab to solve major innovation, manufacturing and customer issues.
- Perform instrumental analysis for target compound and polymer characterization and quantification.
- Conduct the analysis of industrial adhesive and functional products using modern analytical instrumentation including GPC, TGA, DSC, etc.
- Under supervision, design and carry out experimental plans and procedures using modern analytical tools, analyze and summarize experimental results independently, and communicate with the business partners to ensure on-time delivery of the results and provide proper solutions.
- Follow lab quality control and quality assurance practice; maintain high quality data in a fast-paced environment, prepare clear analytical reports, method SOP, and instrument calibration, maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Maintain analytical lab information management system.
YOUR SKILLS- B.S. or M.S. in the field of Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- 2+ years of work experience in the field related to polymer characterization or analytical function is plus.
- Hands-on experience in liquid chromatography instrumentations, such as GPC, HPLC and other polymer characterization methods are a plus.
- Strong instrumentation, computer and data mining skills is a great plus.
- Effective written and oral communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn.
The salary for this role is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.
