Scientist II - Analytical Development

Location: South Carolina

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 + Benefits + Bonus

A leading manufacturer for health and wellness products, particularly known for its focus on dietary supplements for both humans and pets, is looking for a strong scientist to join their Analytical team at the South Carolina site. This organization emphasizes the importance of research and development, ensuring that its products are backed by scientific evidence. Its product range includes joint health supplements, probiotics, and other nutritional aids designed to enhance overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing robust analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy to analyze the chemical properties of substances.
  • Validate analytical methods to ensure accuracy, precision, specificity, and robustness in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the formulation department to support product development.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to analytical methods and instrumentation, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Stay updated on advancements in analytical technologies and methodologies, implementing improvements as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's chemistry, chemical engineering or related field with 10 years of experience of Analytical Development industry experience
  • OR a Masters in chemistry/ related field with 5 years of industry experience in Analytical Development.
  • Proficient in performing Analytical method development or a nutraceutical of pharmaceutical products.
  • Familiar working in GMP and cGMP regulated environments.
  • Extensive background in various analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, FTIR, ICP, GC-MS and troubleshooting HPLC/ GC.
  • Experience in Empower software is highly valued.
