- Performs routine analytical testing assignments using judgment and initiative, may determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Performs standard laboratory operations such as carrying and dispensing of reagents.
- Accurately reads measurement markings on laboratory glassware and written instructions of at least an eight-front size with corrective lenses as necessary.
- Performs standard analytical activities with direction from more senior laboratory chemist.
- Is responsible for cleaning glassware, preparing solutions and assisting/preparing samples.
- Is responsible for adhering to laboratory SOPS, GMP regulations, and laboratory safety rules in performing all laboratory functions.
- Is able to use software associated with analytical instruments.
- Maintains good housekeeping of all work and storage areas.
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the positions.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualification:
- Education: preferred or high school + equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years related industry experience
- Knowledge/Skills: exposure to computer software associated with word processing and spreadsheets desirable

- Mathematical and reasoning ability
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 10-30 pounds.
- Be accessible to laboratory and pilot area(s) and office staff and to use required office equipment.
- Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
