Guy Carpenter (GC), the global leader in reinsurance brokerages, is seeking candidates for a Forward Deployed Analytics Engineer on its Data Strategy team, based in the New York City office. What can you expect? GC Data Strategy is rolling out AI and other cutting-edge data products; you will be the evangelist sharing these new capabilities with internal business partners. Be prepared to make immediate impact as part of an internal start-up where you will be rolling out projects in the first 30 days of joining the company. You will be joining a team of data scientists and engineers who bring a wide range of experience, from VC backed start-ups to FAANG. We will count on you to: Work with business teams around the globe to drive the integration and adoption of new data products Be evangelical in creating awareness of new capabilities and creating buzz about the future of GC Data Strategy Work with the development teams to design, prioritize and implement new features based on user feedback. Have no fear and be comfortable operating in a fast-moving and dynamic environment with high complexity. What you need to have: Strong proficiency in SQL and associated big-data tools such as dbt Experience with Python, especially in the context of querying APIs and/or data science packages Working knowledge of ETL/ELT and REST API principles, and schema design across source systems, data lakes, and dashboards Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Jupyter notebooks and PowerBI Demonstrated capability in data analysis, especially cold-start EDA, ML models, or entity resolution What makes you stand out? All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $100,500 to $181,000.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
