Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking an Analytics Intern for the 2025 Summer Internship Program. This program is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. Responsibilities may include:
- Gaining corporate experience and developing new skills through on-the-job training and exposure to preparation of statistical reports and the foundations of analytics: Descriptive, Predictive, Prescriptive.
- Assisting with the preparation of on-going projects and task teams.
- Gathering and performing analysis on large amounts of data to provide insight and valuable information to the operations team, to enable informed business decisions.
- Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed.
- Completing any other assigned projects or tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field, with some STEM-adjacent completed coursework and a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater.
- Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, random trivia, and Outlook.
