Position SummaryAs an Analytics Manager at Marcel Digital, you will audit, build and maintain existing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager setups, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting. Responsibilities include troubleshooting broken events, auditing GTM tags, setting up marketing pixels, configuring consent modes for various Cookie Management Platforms. The role demands the creation of custom reports and dashboards, rigorous QA and troubleshooting of web analytics, and providing actionable insights to enhance analytics processes.This role will also assist in developing project proposals, timelines, and budgets, and support Account Managers in interpreting data to inform business decisions. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in web analytics tools are essential.Functions and Responsibilities:
- Audit existing Google Analytics and web analytics implementations and identify areas of improvement
- Google Tag Manager container audits
- Setting up initial implementation of GTM and GA for new clients
- Setting up events via GTM and dataLayers
- Audit and set up marketing pixels
- Setup Enhanced Ecommerce events with client developers
- Creation of custom reports, ad-hoc analysis and dashboards
- QA, test, troubleshoot web analytics and tags
- Provide insights to improve Marcel's analytics implementation processes
- Assist Account Managers in getting the story from the raw data
- Assist with developing project proposals, SOWs, timelines, and budgets
Skills + Traits + Abilities:
- 3-5 years of experience in Google Analytics
- Expert level experience in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Proven experience with GA and GTM implementations
- Google Analytics certification
- Proficient in Javascript
- Experience with debugging javascript and using debugger tools such as Chrome Dev Tools, Google Tag Assistant, or similar tools
- Basic understanding of online marketing including PPC, email, SEO, display, social, etc.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Contribute to Marcel's own marketing efforts by writing the occasional blog post
- Passionate about all things data
- Attention to detail

- Presentation skills for presenting client work and taking part in landing new business
Bonus Skills + Traits + Abilities:
- Experience integrating web analytics with marketing automation platforms (Act-On, Salesforce, Pardot, Hubspot) a plus
- Experience with linking GA4 to BigQuery and transforming BigQuery data
- Data Visualization experience with certification
- Familiarity with Google Data Studio
- Experience with predictive analytics
