Tribal Members Only Posting: 11/05/24-11/14/Part Time Schedule TBD Wage:$15.54 an hourEligible Employer for Public Student Loan Forgiveness as a non-profitPosition Summary:Under the supervision of Resident Services Manager, protect the assets and grounds of Andahwod Continuing Care Community & Elders Services program including residents, employees, structures, and contents. All Andahwod staff must adhere to mandated reporting laws.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor visitor traffic in buildings and vehicle traffic around buildings.
- Patrol premises, lobbies, corridors, nurses stations, facilities, and parking areas.
- Confer with management on any detection of infringements or situations worthy of investigation.
- Handle irate and/or disorderly resident, guest or employee in a professional manner.
- Warn and/or eject persons who are causing a disturbance; contact local Law Enforcement Agency for assistance when necessary.
- Remain visible to residents and guests to assure them of facility safety measures. Patrol the parking area and buildings to observe unauthorized or banned persons; remove them from the area if necessary.
- Monitor and report any building and/or grounds concerns regarding maintenance, mechanical, aesthetics, or public safety issues.
- Protect Andahwod CCC & ES residents, assets employees, and contents.
- Enforce all Andahwod CCC & ES policies and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with other tribal entities: Tribal Police, SECR Surveillance and Central Plant, and Tribal Fire departments.
- Manages Emergency Evacuation procedures and responds to threats directed at Andahwod CCC & ES assets, residents, and employees.
- Respond to medical emergencies utilizing proper medical emergency procedures.
- Complete resident and building incident reports as required.
- Attend staff meetings and any training as required.
- Assist and transport residents as needed.
- Perform security procedures such as operating the surveillance system in coordination with SECRs Surveillance department when necessary.
- Comply with all First Aid/AED lifesaving training.
- Adhere to resident confidentiality and comply with department policies and federal regulations under the Privacy rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Security experience.
- Experience working with older adults.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain CPR/AED Certification within 30 days from date of hire.
- Must be able to obtain HIPAA certification within 30 days from date of hire.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.

- Knowledge of all department policies.
- Knowledge of safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices, and public/customer service skills.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.

Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
- Required to sit for extended periods of time.

- Specific vision acuity, closed vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Assisted Living Center and outdoors.
- Work will also include exposure to weather elements such as rain, heat and cold in outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during the day and night shifts.
- Work is often performed in emergency situations.
- Exposure to loud noises, and hazards associated with first responder duties, including fire, smoke, noxious odors, fumes, chemicals, solvents, oils, and rendering emergency medical services with potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases.
- Exposure to unpleasant odors, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous material and infectious disease.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
