About The Position**Job Title:** Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)**Job Specialty:** Cardiovascular Anesthesia**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Day - 4x10 - 06:00 - 16:00**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year required**License:** Licensed Registered Nurse, Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Minnesota Board of Nursing**Certifications:** ACLS/BLS Tier 2 Advanced Cardiac Life Support**Must-Have:** Experience in high acuity cardiovascular procedures**Job Description:**- Work in a hospital setting, providing anesthesia services in a tertiary facility.- Engage in a variety of shifts including 8, 10, 12, and 16-hour shifts.- Participate in a care team model with a support staff ratio of 3:1. Anesthesia Aid department available 24/7 to assist with room turnover and supply management.- Patient population includes individuals aged 12 and older.- Involved in special procedures such as heart transplants, ECMO, high acuity vascular procedures, structural heart procedures, and high complexity specialized non-invasive cases.- Use Epic as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.- Weeknight and weekend overnight shifts available but not required. Beeper call options available on some Saturdays.- Candidates should provide a list of procedures they are not comfortable performing.- The cardiovascular area is focused on open hearts and vascular cases; general CRNA cases may include lung procedures (excluding transplants).Requirements for candidates include completion of a fingerprint/DHS background study. Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days. Flu vaccine requirements are yet to be determined.Orientation duration is 4 hours (non-billable).
