Join us!The Animal Care Attendant is responsible for keeping the facility clean, supervising play groups, and ensuring pet safety.Responsibilities:- Supervise up to 15 dogs and engage with the pets while in class- Follow specific care/training instructions for each dog- Monitor the dogs in your care and Update the Lead Animal Care attendant or the Admissions Assistant for any changes in pets behavior or health- Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.- Sanitizes /disinfects pet enclosures, general boarding areas, yards, and facility daily.- Ensures pets have clean water at all times.- Cleans up pet excrement in the yards. Checks and picks up excrement from enclosures as needed throughout the day.- Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.Qualifications and Skills:- This job requires you to be on your feet for an extended period of time and lift up to 50 lbs.- Reliable Transportation required- Willingness to work in a team environment.- Extremely attentive and have an eye for attention to detail. - Most importantly, you must absolutely love dogs! - Be committed to using modern force-free handling and training methods (paid training provided)- Have experience interacting with/caring for dogs.- Previous professional dog handling experience and knowledge of behavior/body language is a plus but not required.Destination Pet LLC affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
