Responsible for feeding and care of each patient, co-supervision of student workers, assisting in restraining/handling patients, thoroughly cleaning all animal areas, and inventory and control of small animal food supply.Physical danger applies when working around small animals capable of kicking or biting. Exposure to zoonotic diseases such as Salmonella, rabies, etc. is possible. Special Instructions to ApplicantsEducation & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:Required Qualifications:High School/GED and one year of related experience including care of small animals. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, stand on ladder, stoop and bend, and work overhead and below waist level for extended periods of time.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to follow instructions, both written and verbal.Must possess a valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:Six years of related experience including care of small animals.
