THE JOB: The Identifier is responsible for ensuring that all race horses scheduled to race on a particular night are correct by verifying their tattoo or chip numbers.
THE STARTING RATE: $16.78THE DAY-TO-DAY: - Utilize microchip reader to verify microchip number to ensure the correct horse is brought to the paddock.
- Check identifying features of the horse and match it to the provided report.
- Notify Race Office when horses should be reported as geldings or spayed.
- Inform Paddock Judge and/or Judges of any discrepancies that need to be addressed.
- Maintain detailed records of identified horses, including photographs and written descriptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: - Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Has experience with Microsoft Office
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
