Job Announcement: The City of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Animal Shelter Technician. The purpose of this position is to provide care for animals while impounded, respond to animal related calls and complaints, perform adoptions, assist with shelter maintenance, transport animals, perform equipment maintenance, and maintain records related to compliance with city policy and state regulations. Beginning salary is $19.095 - $20.563 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and training. Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Animal Control Certification.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
- One to three years' experience with animals in a shelter environment is preferred.
Special Requirements: This is an Essential Services position, and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens per the City's Emergency Services Guidelines.
