Job Summary:
MUST HAVES: 1) Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements. 2) Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection 3) Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC. RELATIONSHIPS Reports to Director, IN vivo Pharmacology. Internal relationships include working with technical and scientific members of the in vivo team, Laboratory animal sciences staff, Lab Operations, Research Associates and Research Scientists locally and globally
Responsibilities
Responsible for performing high level of animal handing, dosing, sample collections and data recordings.
Contribute technical assistance to research projects in rodent facility.
Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection
Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC.
Performs post-procedural and post-surgical monitoring
Performs sample and data collection Performs necropsy and tissue collection
Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in animal science / lab support Bachelor's degree preferred Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements. Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC. Performs and records daily food and health checks on various pharmacology studies Experience in animal anesthesia and euthanasia Performs post-procedural and post-surgical monitoring Performs sample and data collection Performs necropsy and tissue collection Receives and maintains adequate stock of animal care and research supplies Technical assistance with injections administration
