Ann Arbor Climate Corps
Ann Arbor Climate Corps is an AmeriCorps program with the City of Ann Arbor's Office of Sustainability and Innovations (OSI). The office works to achieve community-wide carbon neutrality by 2030 by implementing A2ZERO, Ann Arbor's climate action plan. Members educate residents deeply and regularly about the strategic opportunities they have to save money and address the climate crisis. The Ann Arbor Climate Corps will knock on residents' doors, hosts events in neighborhoods, teach folks about individual and collective climate action, helps support natural systems and neighborhood stewardship, and directs residents to resources and support services so that they become part of the local climate movement. Members work closely with OSI staff of projects relating to home energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, sustainable business promotion, reducing food waste, redirecting materials for reuse, and more. Members also work with City Parks staff in Natural Areas Preservation, doing invasive species removal and trail maintenance. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
