Job Description
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Philanthropy, implements fundraising and stewardship strategies, goals and objectives, in support of the annual and special giving function of the philanthropy office. Including cultivation and solicitation of a select portfolio of annual and/or special giving prospects. Writing appeals and solicitation of annual giving prospects, individuals and organizations, focused on renewal and acquisition of new donors, as well as moving annual donors forward to make special/major gifts in support of the organization. This position will be responsible for implementing all aspects of the annual giving society, assisting with annual activities for the planned giving functions, coordinating small and large annual and special events, including materials development and event logistics.
Principle Responsibilities and Tasks

Manage the annual giving societies programs (Hero's in Health and Legacy Giving).Relationship management of a portfolio of select annual and special giving prospects (at or below $25K prospects as assigned) as well as cultivation and solicitation of that prospects.Drafting collateral materials and coordinating all aspects of direct mail and email solicitations.Drafting collateral materials and coordinating activities for donor stewardship.Drafting collateral material and coordinating a variety of functions related to special events.Coordinating all arrangements and logistics for philanthropy annual and special events and giving societies to increase prospects engagement and support cultivation efforts.Assists with prospect identification and research, including preparing prospect profiles generating list queries and gift entry and recording.Assists with content and materials development for web pages and donor giving pages on the Foundation webpage.Works collaboratively with committees and work groups, as well as across the philanthropy office, to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.Qualifications: Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field preferred.
- Five years of development or related experience required.
- The ability to write persuasively and think creatively is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workgroups or teams and logistics aspects of a project.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with committees, workgroups, task forces and across organizations.
- Experience working with and managing volunteers.
- Must be willing to work weekends and evening hours as required.
