* Life Insurance: The coverage amount is based on two and one-half times appointment salary rounded up to the next whole thousand with a maximum coverage of $100,000 and includes the same amount of Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefits. The University currently pays the entire cost of coverage.
* Medical, Dental and Prescription Drug Coverage: The cost of coverage is shared between employees and the University. Rates are determined by participation in Wellness Program and use of tobacco products. Coverage is available on the first of the month following appointment date.
* TIAA Retirement Contributions: Contributions begin based upon the first day of employment at a contribution rate of ten (10) percent of base appointment salary paid in full by ISU. The contributions are vested immediately. There are 40 investment options from which to choose.
* TIAA Auto Enroll: New employees are automatically enrolled in a tax deferred retirement program at hire: three (3) percent is deducted before taxes for the program to facilitate retirement planning. Employees may opt out of the program within 90 days.
* Long Term Disability Coverage: Employees are eligible after three (3) years of continuous, regular employment with the University. This policy guarantees approved disabled employees a 66 2/3 percent income protection (from all sources) after 180 days of continuous total disability. Immediate participation is available for current members of a comparable group disability insurance program within 90 days prior to ISU employment and that would have provided income protection upon disability for at least five years.
* Fee Waiver Program: For the employee, spouse and dependent children: Staff may enroll in up to 18 hours of course work each academic year at a reduced rate. Spouses may enroll in 15 semester hours each academic year with 80% of qualified tuition waived. Dependent children of regular full-time staff who are full-time degree seeking undergraduate students at ISU may receive a fee waiver of 80% of qualified tuition for up to a total of ten (10) semesters.
* Sick Leave: Accrued at a rate of 12 days per fiscal year with unlimited accumulation.
* Vacation: Pay level 11 and below accrues up to 15 vacation days earned per year 1 through 4; 20 vacation days per year thereafter. Pay level 12 and above accrues 20 vacation days per year

Job Summary/Basic Function
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for University Advancement (AVP), the Annual Giving Director is responsible for increasing philanthropic support for Indiana State University's Annual Giving program and other fundraising projects. This includes the utilization of various marketing platforms, including direct mail, electronic appeals, social media channels, and phone solicitations. The Annual Giving Director will also serve in a key leadership role to ensure the successful planning and implementation of ISU's annual giving day and the faculty/staff giving program. The Annual Giving Director will develop and maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects with an emphasis on face-to-face visits and personal relationship building in order to ensure the successful cultivation and solicitation of leadership annual gifts, and will be measured on development metrics with monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. This position will also supervise the Annual Giving Coordinator and will provide strategic oversight for the Student Philanthropy Organization.
Specific Responsibilities Required Relevant Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
* A minimum of two years of experience working with annual giving programs or similar marketing and revenue-building programs.
* Record of developing and implementing revenue-generating programs and achieving metrics-driven goals.
* Experience in a higher education, not-for-profit, or a similar type of organization, with a track record of progressive responsibilities.
* Excellent communications skills and a strong understanding of computer-based constituent management software; experience in marketing programs through direct mail, email, internet & web-based, and demonstrated experience with the use of various social media platforms.
* Ability to assess technologies, trends and the application of data analytics for target marketing, reporting and results analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a comprehensive annual giving strategy, including donor participation at the President's Society giving level, and an annual faculty/staff giving program, with the goal of increasing participation/retention rates and revenue growth.
* Provide strategic direction and short/long-range planning related to the growth of the Annual Giving Program while supporting the greater fundraising goals of the Division of University Advancement and Indiana State University.
* Implement marketing and outreach strategies utilizing direct mail, telephone, email, social media, crowdfunding and other web-based platforms.
* Develop annual giving campaigns or projects in collaboration with the development team, campus leadership and other campus colleagues.
* Create effective communication and solicitation programs within specific segments in support of various funding priorities as determined by University leadership.
* Effectively manage the expense budget for the Annual Giving Program to ensure maximum efficiencies.
* Provide leadership and a strategic focus for the planning and execution of ISU's Annual Day of Giving, including collaboration with campus leadership, students, faculty, staff and community partners.
* Engage with colleagues and peers, higher education institutions and other industry resources to constantly explore best practices for annual giving programs, fundraising projects, outreach, marketing and solicitations to ensure our efforts are constantly evolving and improving.
* Assist with special events by encouraging attendance, hosting guests and representing the Office of Advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Work with the Advancement Services team to develop and establish protocols and analytical capacity for tracking donor activity, trends, and individual campaign results.
* Conduct statistical analysis of alumni and donor demographics and giving and make recommendations based on findings.
* Produce regular reports of progress and end-of-year evaluations for our Annual Giving Program and solicitation, donor acquisition & retention strategies in relation to established goals.

* Provide supervisory oversight and leadership for the Annual Giving Coordinator to ensure the successful planning and execution of fundraising strategies for the Annual Giving Program, ISU's annual giving day, various other solicitation projects throughout the year.
* Work with the the AVP of Advancement to establish goals for the Annual Giving Coordinator related to face-to-face interactions, leadership gift solicitations, email & telephone outreach and social media engagement.
* Assist the Annual Giving Coordinator in developing and implementing strategies to increase the number of donors and gifts received in support of the Annual Giving Program and other initiatives throughout the year.
* Oversight and leadership for student workers assigned to the Annual Giving Program, or those participating in the Student Philanthropy Organization.

* Develop and maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects, with the primary goal of building relationships to cultivate, solicit and steward gifts at the leadership annual giving level of $1,000 and above.
* Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals related to face-to-face interactions, solicitations made and leadership annual gifts secured.
* Update donor and prospect records by entering accurate and timely contact reports into our database.
