Role SummaryAnthropologie is looking for a Temporary Associate Buyer who is responsible for working with the buyer and creating an exciting and timely product assortment for the retail and direct businesses that meet or exceed the sales volume and profit for the department.Role ResponsibilitiesSupporting the daily operations within designated buying area and developing partnerships with the buyer on all necessary tasksOwnership of buying a product class within the buying areaThe ability to conceptually plan assortments that meet financial objectivesDelegating and directing the daily activities of the assistants and provide direction to the teamPrioritizing tasks and balancing the immediate and long term needs of the businessResearching and executing development of product in the marketplacePersonnel skills to work well with cross functional partners and team to achieve plansWorking closely with planning to understand financial indicators to react and drive businessWorking with the buyer to learn to determine the overall mix of market and private label product for each buying area to ensure the final mix is ultimately customer orientedWorking with buyer to place buys with convictionLearning from buying mistakes and applying those learnings to future buysVocalizing opinions proactively in cross functional or larger merchant meetingsManaging the flow of merchandiseEntering, updating, managing, tracking, and organizing purchase orders to ensure timely deliveryCommunicating late deliveries to the buying teamSetting up new vendors and send them routing guides and pre-ticketing informationPrioritizing and reacting with a sense of urgency to the requests from both the merchant and cross functional teamsAssisting the buying team to proof catalog copyIdentifying photos on the web to be reshot to drive sales#LI-ME1Role QualificationsMinimum of two years of experience in retail buying or a similar capacityAbility to build and maintain productive partnerships and demonstrate strong listening, oral, and written communication skillsStrong organization and prioritizing skillsFlexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesDetail orientedCreative thinkerTeam playerProficient in Excel, Outlook, and PowerpointThe PerksURBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
